You’re A Light In The Footsteps

In my silence; in the pleading of my cries;

In my moments filled with confusion and despair….

You were there.

In my joys; in dreams of my tomorrow;

In my minutes filled with wonder and cares….

You were there.

In my thoughts; in the memories of my heart;

In my hours with out  hope I couldn't bear….

You were there.

In my songs; in the early hours of the dawn;

On a weary road with others that I shared….

You were there.

You inspired strength within me; you stood unceasingly strong;

You were a gentle wind behind me….

Encouraging me to go on.

You were an answer to my questions with no voice,

but a part of me;

You showed me faith; a Blessed faith….

Through your eyes for me to see.

You were the words in my silence;

I looked to you when things went wrong;

You were my faith in the days ahead….

                          You are my Precious, Precious Friend!

Because of you, my gift from God;

 I now walk onward toward a beautiful day,

Knowing you’re a light in the footsteps of the path I walk on….

Forever leading me along the right way!
